Sharon Ann Lockaby

Sharon Ann Lockaby, age 67 of Brandenburg, KY passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, in Elizabethtown, KY with her family by her side.

She was born on October 23, 1956, in Warrington, England.  Daughter of the late Edith Mary Evans Lockaby and James “Jay” B. Lockaby, Sr. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother James Bennett Lockaby, Jr.

Sharon was a Military child who moved around. This sparked a love of traveling and she did so as much as she could.  One of her favorite places to travel was Europe. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, and crafting. She loved attending sports for her kids and grandkids, nature, animals, baby animals, roller coasters, the beach and literally anything to do with water.  She was an avid shopper who especially liked attending auctions. She would shop for shoes, wedge wood, glassware, and antiques.  She loved the outdoors and her grandchildren.

She is survived by her best friend Scott Davis; children, Jennifer J. (Cody Stull) Carman of Flaherty, Joseph Leo (Christie) Burnett, Jr. of Brandenburg, Ashlee (William Stovall) Davis of Brandenburg, and Scotty (Stacy) Davis of Louisville; grandchildren, Kaytlin (Cameron), Bailee, Kizer, Anna, Gabriel, Malikah, Marlo; great-grandchildren, Zander, Malakai, and Sawyer; sisters, Lisa Gail (Roger) New and Dora Lou (Carl “Moose”) Kammerer; and best friends, Shannon and Rob Hail.

Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2024, from 2-6:00 P.M. A private burial will be held with no public services.
