Patrick James Kenny

Patrick James Kenny, age 77, of Webster, KY, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Brandenburg Nursing and Rehab in Brandenburg, KY.

He was born on November 14, 1946, in Detroit, MI, son of the late John Aloysius Kenny and Dorothy Cecilia Hill Kenny. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur and Vivian Pollock; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sheila Staples; sister-in-law, Rhonda Pollock; and his favorite dog, Tinkerbell.

Patrick was a disabled Army veteran and was a jack of all trades. He spent some time working on a barge for ACBL, but what he really enjoyed was his work as a mechanic for Detroit Diesel and General Motors. He was a member of the VFW and loved going to bike rallies with his friends. Patrick was the life of the party, and he loved to make people happy. Whatever room he came into was filled with fun and laughter, and you were sure to leave with a smile on your face. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Darlene Kenny; children, Michael (Tabatha) Kenny of Brandenburg, KY, and Shannon (Patti) Kenny of Corydon, IN; grandchildren, Paige (Zach) Dowell, Brianna (Colin) Kenny, and Madison Kenny; great-granddaughter, Aurora Avery Kenny; and sister-in-law, Donna Pollock.

Cremation has been chosen by the family and Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Funeral services will be held at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central at a later date.
