Nola Fackler

Nola Delpha Fackler, age 94, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Harrison County Hospital.

She was born on May 14, 1931, in Glen Dean, KY, daughter of the late Frank Dean Decker and Cova Rae Wilson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Willie Lee Fackler; three daughters, Nola Fackler, Donna Fackler, and Karen Fackler; sisters, Elsie Poole, Fadetta Montgomery, Dorothy Roberts, Artie Haynes, Mary Haynes, Jo Claycomb, and Phyllis Wehrenberg; and brothers, Arvie Decker, Carlton Decker, and L.B. Decker.

Nola was a lifelong, dedicated member of the Salem Baptist Church. She lived her life as a testament to her faith, offering compassion, forgiveness, and love in a way that made people feel seen and cared for. She always put others before herself and did not hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Nola loved her job as a volunteer at the Meade County Clothes Closet, where she got to serve her community and build friendships. She enjoyed watching sports, especially the Cincinnati Reds and UK Wildcats, and also loved thrifting and going to yard sales. She was a devoted mom, sister, Mamaw, and friend to many, and will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Adkisson, Sharon Ross, and Ruth Straney; grandchildren, Sloan Adkisson, Tiffany (David) Hall, John Adkisson, Nola Hamilton, Brittany (Aaron) Webb, and Benjamin Straney; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. EDT. and will continue at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.

Funeral services will be held at the Salem Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 12:00 P.M. with Bro. Garry Hicks officiating.
