The brother of Brooks Houck, who is serving a life sentence for the murder of Crystal Rogers, was arrested today in Nelson County.


According to Kentucky State Police, just after 1:30 p.m., they arrested Nicholas "Nick" Houck, 46, of Bardstown, Kentucky, on a Nelson County indictment warrant, following an investigation conducted by Kentucky State Police Post 4 detectives.


The investigation indicates that Houck allegedly committed perjury between 2015 and 2023. As a result, Houck was charged with Perjury in the First Degree, a Class D Felony under Kentucky law. A Class D Felony is punishable by one to five years imprisonment upon conviction.


Houck was taken into custody and lodged without incident. KSP Post 4 detectives are continuing the investigation. No further details will be provided at this time, as this is an ongoing investigation.
