Michael Glenn Hager

Mr. Michael Glenn Hager, age 57, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  Michael had many hobbies, but mostly enjoyed watching Cincinnati Reds baseball, Ryan Blaney with NASCAR, and trains.  He also loved listening to music.

      Michael devoted his life to emergency services.  He was a first responder and member of the Brandenburg City, Meade County, and Payneville Fire Departments for over 26 years of his life.  He also served as a 911 Dispatcher and as a Meade County Deputy Sheriff for many years. Michael truly had a heart for serving people.

      Michael is survived by his wife, Angela Merideth Hager; two daughters, Autumn Hager, and Makayla Vidt and her husband, Bradlee; two sons, William “Alex” Livers and Aaron Brock; his father, Joseph Hager and his wife, Dianne; his grandson arriving in July; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

      Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Buck Grove Baptist Church, with Revs. David Campbell and Corey Young officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, and at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Animal Refuge Center, 185 Basham Trail, Vine Grove, KY  40175.
