Mary Elizabeth Sloan, age 73 of Brandenburg, KY passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 in Louisville, KY with her family by her side.

She was born on February 12, 1953, in Louisville, KY, daughter of the late Ann Cambrin Luckett Sandifer and Edward “Eddie” James Sandifer.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Naomi Sandifer and mother-in-law, Mary L. Beatty.

Mary was a member of St. John Vianney Church in Louisville, KY and retired from JCTC Southwest as an Administrative Assistant.  She was a crossword queen; a loving wife and mother; the best support system you could ask for; and the best pup and house sitter you could ever ask for.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth F. Sloan; children, Jonathan Sandifer of Bowie, MD, Morgan (Aaron) Thomas of Bonaire, GA, and Nicole (Jay) Godby of Brandenburg; grandchildren, Jonathan, Jr., Audrey, Kayleigh, and Brooklyn; sister, Barbara (Eddie) Green; and a beloved dog, Molly Sloan.

No services will be held at this time, burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central.
