Lonnie Elliott, Jr, age 83, of Glasgow, KY, passed away on November 13, 2025, at his home.
He was born on August 30, 1942, in Webster, KY, son of the late Lonnie Elliott, Sr, and Kathleen Basham.
Lonnie worked as an insurance agent for American General for several years and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was an avid outdoorsman and a huge supporter of the NRA. Whether he was hunting in the woods or fishing from a chair on the riverbank, his heart was at peace. He instilled this same love and passion in his children and grandchildren, teaching them valuable lessons that will be passed through generations for years to come. Lonnie was a proud dad and papaw and enjoyed every moment with his family. He had an incredible smile, an infectious laugh, and a brilliant personality, and he will be dearly missed by all who came to know him.
He is survived by his children, Johnny Elliott, Katrina Shouse, and Misty Haynes; sisters, Doris Butcher, Betty Sue Hall, and Sharon Mattingly; brothers, Ronnie Elliott, Ralph Elliott, Richard Elliott, and James David Elliott; grandchildren, Kristy, Joshua, Justin, Jeremy, Michael, Andrea, Jennifer, and Tiffany; 10 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandbabies on the way.
Visitation will be held at the Alexander Funeral Home (509 W Spring St, Irvington, KY 40146) on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 4-8:00 P.M. EDT and will continue Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. with Bro. Carlie Ross officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
