Lois Ammons

Lois May Ammons, age 73, of Vine Grove, KY, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, in Louisville, KY. 

She was born on December 26,1951, in Guston, KY. Daughter of the late Evelyn Imogene Goins Ammons and Joseph Gid Ammons, Sr. along with her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, William Herman Ammons; sisters, Sandra Kay Hilkey, Joyce Fay Sipes; brothers, Joseph G. Ammons, Jr., Robert Lee “Bob” Ammons; and grandson, Kyle Bradley Ford. 

Lois was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She and her husband farmed tobacco and cattle, and Lois enjoyed gardening. 

She is survived by her children, William Charles “Charlie” (Tammy) Ammons and Carol Sue Ford; grandchildren, Blake Ammons and Kelsey Jo Ford; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Ammons, Mason Ammons, Emma Nicole Bush, and Odie Jay Bush; sister, Carolyn Wrobelski; brothers, James Carroll Ammons, Denny Roger Ammons, and William Thomas Ammons. 

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. EDT and after 10 A.M. on Monday. 

Funeral Services will be held at Alexander Funeral Home on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. EDT. officiated by Bro. Carlie Ross. Burial will follow in Big Spring Methodist Cemetery.
