Local Closures For Independence Day

This weekend we commemorate the 250th anniversary of America's independence from Great Britain. Because of the holiday, many local businesses and government organizations will be closed and operating on abbreviated schedules. Below is a list of the closures and changes that we know of thus far:

WMMG studio and offices will be closed on Friday July 3rd.

The Meade County Sheriff's Office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd. If you have any emergency, please call 911. They will still have deputies responding to calls.

The Meade County Clerk's Office will be closing at 4:30pm on Thursday, July 2nd and will remain closed on Friday July 3rd in observance of Independence Day.

Meade County Fiscal Court offices will be closed Friday July 3rd. County offices will reopen for normal business hours on Monday July 6th.

The following offices will also be closed on Friday July 3rd:

• Meade County Circuit Clerk's Office

• Meade County Attorney's Office and Child Support Office

• Meade County Property Valuation Administrator (PVA) office

• Meade County Sheriff's Office

• Meade County Road Department

• Meade County Planning & Zoning Office

The offices of Brandenburg Telephone Company and Brandenburg Telecom LLC will be closed Friday July 3rd with the exception of the Brandenburg Office. The Brandenburg office will be open 8am to 12pm Eastern time on Friday. All offices will be closed Saturday, July 4th to celebrate Independence Day. The help desk will be available as always, should you need assistance.

In observance of Independence Day, Brandenburg City Hall will be closed Friday July 3rd. For after hours water/sewer emergency call 270-422-3774. For police or medical emergencies dial 911.
