Leslie Lynn “Tinker” King, age 68, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born June 26, 1957, son of the late Henry R. King and Ruby Agnes Troutman-Wright. He was known as “Tinker” since early childhood, due to his extreme curiosity for how things work and his ability to fix anything.

Along with his parents, Tinker was preceded in death by his brothers, Norman King and James King; sisters-in-laws, Peggy King and Sharon King; and nephew Perry King.

Left to honor his memory are his children, Leslie King-Pollard (Chris), Braxton King, and Bryce King; stepchildren, Rodney Brewer Jr. and Christina Shelton (Rodney); siblings, Marvin “Punkin” King (Myra), Rebecca Cheryl Lewis, and Bradley King; sister-in-law, Anna Francis Rhodes-King; grandchildren, Destin King, Hunter Pollard, and Wyatt Pollard; and many bonus grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at the Bruington Jenkins Sturgeon Funeral Home on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 11:00 A.M.-3:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. with Bro. Jeff Maysey officiating. Cremation will follow.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the funeral home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
