Law enforcement searching for alleged murder suspect in Meade County tonight

According to Kentucky State Police (KSP), today, November 3, at approximately 12:56 p.m., KSP Post 4 was contacted by the Meade County Sheriff’s Office regarding a deceased individual located at a residence in the Ekron community of Meade County.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim, Mary Crase (55) of Brandenburg, sustained at least one gunshot wound. The alleged suspect, Scott Hornback (45) of Irvington, fled the scene and remains at large.
Hornback is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach if seen. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact KSP Post 4 at (270) 766-5078 or dial 911 immediately.
The investigation is ongoing by Detective Travis Dalton with assistance from Post 4 detectives, the Meade County Sheriff’s Office, and the Meade County Coroner’s Office.
