Joyce Elaine West

Joyce Elaine West, age 87, of Guston, KY, passed away on March 21, 2026.

She was born on January 5, 1939, in Morgantown, KY. She is proceeded in death by her sister, Mary Baize; brother, Eugene Snodgrass; son, Timothy West Sr., and grandson, Timothy

West II.

Joyce spent most of her working life operating an upholstery business from her home, where her talent and creativity served those in her community. She took pride in her attention to detail and brought life to numerous pieces of furniture. Aside from her working life, Joyce enjoyed gardening and tended to her garden with love and care. What brought her the greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she adored greatly. 

Joyce is survived by her children, Stephen Glen (Martha) West of NC and Glenda Jo (Ralph) Simons of Guston; sisters, Ruth (Harold) Willis of SC, and Eva Miles of OH; brothers, Ernest (Ann) Snodgrass of WA, Charles (Arlene) Snodgrass of MT, and David (Nancy) Snodgrass of SC; grandchildren, Glenn West, John West, Joyce Church, and Julie Sherrard; great-grandchildren, Heavynne, Christian, Emma, Hunter, Levi, Joshuah, Avia, Roxy, Julian, Penny, and Mckenzie. 

Visitation will be held at the Alexander Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. (EDT).

Funeral Services will be held at Hillcrest Baptist Church (191 St Hwy 232, Harned, KY 40144) beginning at 3:00 P.M. (EDT) officiated by Bro. Bob Walton. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Baptist Church Cemetery.
