John Scott Goddard

Mr. John S. Goddard, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Norton Hospital in Louisville.  John was born on March 31, 1948, the son of Thomas Warner and Anna Juanita (Frakes) Goddard.  He loved the outdoors, being a truck driver by trade, but also enjoyed fishing and hunting.


     John was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Bobbie Jean; his daughter, Marhonda; and two sisters, Anna Goddard and Mary Goddard Tyler.  He is survived by two daughters, Terry J. Mayes and Sherry Reesor; five grandchildren, Jessica McMahan, J.T. Goddard, Lindsey Heinzen, Shawn Alex Goddard, and Seth M. Reesor; and five great grandchildren, Lucy Combs, Lily Francis, Ezekiel, Zachariah, and Zane Autry.


     Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
