John Lark Hockman, Jr.

Mr. John Lark Hockman, Jr, age 70, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Kensington Center. John was born on July 27, 1955, the son of John Lark, Sr. and Dorothea Dean (Cooper) Hockman, who both preceded him in death.

John attended the University of Louisville and Spalding University where he obtained his Master’s Degree to become a Psychotherapist. He worked in the field for over 30 years and dedicated his life to guide and mentor individuals in their recovery journey. John was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous, a Kentucky Colonel and was an avid UofL fan.

John is survived by his daughter, Domonique Hockman; five grandchildren, Destiny, Trey, Emerald, Asia and Rain; two sisters, Cindy Trent and Peggy Haynes; and four nephews, Michael Trent, Brian Trent, Phil Powers and Chris Haynes.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Hockman officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service on Monday.
