Margaret “Jo Claycomb”, age 86 of Brandenburg, KY passed away in Elizabethtown, KY on Friday, August 1, 2025.

Jo was born in Breckinridge county, KY on April 5, 1939, daughter of the late Cova Rae Wilson Decker and Frank Dean Decker. Along with her parents, Jo was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph David Claycomb; brothers, Arvie Decker, Carlton Decker, L.B. Decker; sisters, Elsie Poole, Fadetta Montgomery, Dorothy Roberts, Artie Haynes, Phyllis Wehrenburg, and Mary Haynes.

She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and had worked at Brown & Williamson, Otter Creek Park, and Tyson Foods.  She was a hard worker and loved her family.

Jo is survived by her three sons, David (Tammy) Claycomb, Kevin (Carla) Claycomb, and Brian (Stephanie) Claycomb; sister, Delpha Fackler; nine grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.  

Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. and Thursday, August 7, 2025 at Salem Baptist Church (5286 Old State Rd, Brandenburg, KY 40108), 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 7,  at 12:00 PM from the Salem Baptist Church, Bro. Garry Hicks officiating.  

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to Salem Baptist Church (5286 Old State Rd, Brandenburg, KY 40108).
