Jeanette Martin

Jeanette Kasey Martin, age 81, of Irvington, KY passed away on February 6, 2026.

She was born on May 22, 1944, daughter of the late G.T. “Gib” and Lucille Kasey. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Martin.

Jeanette retired from the Family Dollar Corporation, where she worked as a supervisor. She was a graduate of Irvington High School and attended Western Kentucky University. Jeanette was a lifelong member of the Irvington United Methodist Church and spent many summers volunteering for vacation bible school. She enjoyed UofL basketball, Elvis, and cheesecake. 

She is survived by her children, Shannon (Bill) Verble of Lexington, KY and Todd (Trish) Martin of Irvington, KY; sister, Mona Logsdon of Frankfort, KY; brother, Eddie (Ernie Gaye) Kasey of Irvington, KY; grandchildren, Kate and Liam Verble; nieces and nephews, Darryl Logsdon, Rusty Kasey, Kyle Kasey, Amanda Kasey, Dana Sexton, and Marty Martin; and was the grandmother of several fur kids. 

Visitation will be held at Alexander Funeral Home (509 Spring St., Irvington, KY 40146) on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, from 5:00P.M. to 7:00P.M. (EST) and again on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Irvington United Methodist Church (106 Walnut Street, Irvington, KY 40146) from 1:00P.M. to 2:00P.M.

Funeral services will be held at United Methodist Church (106 Walnut Street, Irvington, KY 40146) on Thursday, February 12, 2026, starting at 2:00P.M. (EST) with Bro. Josh Pack officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
