an Miller, 87, of Laconia, Indiana, died Monday, February 2, 2026, at home near Laconia.  She was born November 23, 1938, in Muncie, Indiana, to the late Albert E. and Marybelle Routledge White.  Jan's life-long passion was raising and showing horses. Her knowledge and experience in caring for horses was evident to those who knew her. The only thing that surpassed her affection for horses was the love she had for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was always present on the sidelines or in the audience to show her support and give a congratulatory hug. Her infectious laugh and warm embraces will be forever missed. She was a member of the First Baptist Church near Elizabeth, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Teresa Grimm.

Survivors include her husband, Don K. Miller; her daughter, Jana Jones (Othey); her brother, Michael White; her grandchildren, Autumn Plaiss (Eric) and Kate Walker (Shaun); and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Cole, Liliana and Beau Walker, and Willow and Iris Plaiss.

Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. Monday, February 9, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or at https://www.stjude.org/
