James Bradley (Brad) Chism, age 70, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away November 9, 2025, at Norton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on April 27, 1955, in Louisville, KY, son of the late James E. and Jane Cole Chism. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alexis Leigh Fromme.
Brad graduated from Doss High School, and then worked for Ross & Pete Construction and Don Embry Body Shop prior to starting at Ford Louisville Assembly Plant. He retired from there after more than 30 years of service. Then he went to Stein Glass Company for a few years.He enjoyed rebuilding custom cars. Spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren warmed his heart. His most recent favorite place to be was in Auntie and Unk’s recliner with his pillows. Brad was a kindhearted, caring man who was loved by many.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Jo Chism; children, Donnie (Wendy) Fromme, David Aaron Chism, Timothy Aaron Chism, Megan Chism-Wells, and Troy Tincher; sixteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren; brother, Mark (Trish) Chism; and sisters, Cherry Glass and Leigh Ann (Kenny) Vertrees; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Thursday, November 13, 2025, from 12:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at 7:00 P.M. with Jason Bewley officiating.
