Gerald “Jerry” Willis Wooldridge, age 86 of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

He was born in Louisville, KY on February 4, 1939, son of the late Willis Wilbert Wooldridge and Louise Hicks Wooldridge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of over 45 years, Gloria Jean Ottersbach Wooldridge.


Jerry was Baptist by faith; U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam era; while he was stationed at Ft. Meyer (Arlington area) he delivered messages on a 3 wheeled bike in the pentagon and loved sharing that part of his life with people, he was there the day Pres. Kennedy was buried, and there when Martin Luther King, Jr. gave his famous speech; member of the American Legion Post 193 in Elizabethtown; Kentucky Colonel; and a member of the Moose Lodge in Brandenburg.


He is survived by his son, Richard “Rick” (Cathie) Rivera of Louisville, KY; sisters, Bonnie Meeks of Deputy, IN and Debra “Debbie” (Steve) Clark of New Salsbury, IN; grandchildren: Brandon (Renee) Rivera, Amanda (Tyler) Weddington, Brian Rivera, Mikayla (Devyn) Rivera-Chadwell, and Hunter Rivera; nine great- grandchildren; and a nephew Chris Clark.


Visitation will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, from 10-12:30 P.M.


Funeral Services will be held at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 12:30 P.M. EST with Bro. Tyler Weddington officiating, burial will follow in Kentucky Veteran Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
