Frank Orr, Jr.

Mr. Frank Orr, Jr., age 85, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.  Mr. Orr was born on July 17, 1939, the son of Frank Charles and Velma Pierce Orr.

Mr. Orr had an incredibly strong work ethic.  He joined the operator’s union on August 22, 1961, and was employed by E.L. Noe and sons from April 1961 until 1983.  He retired in 1997 but continued working part time as long as he was able.

Mr. Orr was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mary Catherine Gaston; and three brothers, John Allen, Roy Rogers, and Thomas Leo Orr.  He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Nancy Pearl Orr; three children, Darla (Jeff) Watts, Steve (Nancy) Orr, and Mike Orr; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Julie) Watts, Danielle (Josh Thompson) Butler, Jarrod (Natalie) Orr, Katie (Curt) Mattingly, and Daniel (Michaela) Orr; eight great grandchildren, Brayla and Benson Butler, Eddison and Eliott Orr, Thatcher and Opal Watts, and Oakleigh and Olaina Orr; two sisters, Marcella Jane (James) Spencer, and Helen Laverne Howard; five brothers, James Darriel (Debbie) Orr, David Wayne Orr, Danny Ray Orr, Kenneth Bill (Karen) Orr, and Howard Charles (Barbara) Orr; and numerous nieces and nephews.       

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. David Campbell officiating.  Burial will follow in Garnettsville Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday.
