Mr. David Gerald “Dave” Livers, Jr., age 66, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY. Dave was born on April 15, 1959, the son of David Gerald Sr. and Mary Jo (Greenwell) Livers.

Dave was in a wheelchair for most of his life.  He did not, however, let that define his life.  Dave worked for Verizon Wireless in Lexington for over 20 years.  He was an avid Louisville Cardinal fan holding season tickets to virtually all sports they played.  Dave would drive from Lexington to Louisville two or three times a week for games.  He also had a longtime admiration for former basketball coach, Denny Crum.

Dave was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Mary Jo Livers; his sisters, Rebecca “Sue” (Keith) Madison and Carolyn “Carol” Donahue; his brother, Kenneth “Ken” (Debbie) Livers; 12 nieces and nephews, Eric (Gabi) Madison, Elizabeth (Mark) Cain, Ethan (Tiffany) Madison, Chris (Alicia) Stull, Chad Stull, Cody Stull (Jennifer Carman), Cameron (Gina Mills) Donahue, Patrick Livers, Kacie (Nick) Nevitt, and Destany, John and Nicholas Sipes; 18 great nieces and nephews, Wesley Cain, Waylen Madison, Roslyn Stull, Sierra (Brandt) Rosenberger, Kaylee Dunaway, Blair and Ryder Stull, Kaytlin and Bailee Carman, Kiernan and Codi Donahue, Hendrix and Oliver Livers, Maddie, Sadie Jo, Macie, and Dean Nevitt and Cooper Marsh; and five great-great nieces and nephews, Ellington Rosenberger, Haven Dunaway, Sawyer, Zander and Lainey Carman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Martin officiating. Burial will follow in St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, and at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of mass on Friday.  Vigil Services will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday from the funeral home led by Deacon Greg Beavin.
