Darrel Gene Hiner, age 73 of Brandenburg, KY passed away on Monday, August 26, 2024 in Brandenburg, KY.

He was born on September 16, 1950, in Louisville, KY son of the late Virginia Britena Burge Hiner and Joseph Edward Hiner.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deanna “DeDe” Britina Hiner and brother, Richard Edward Hiner.

Darrel is survived by his son, William “Clint” (Ann) Hiner of Brandenburg; grandchildren, Jessica Cook, Whitney Hiner, and Justin Hiner; great-grandchild, Braxton Prather; and sisters, Bonita “Bonnie” Estes and Britena “Jo” (Mike) Dunn.

Visitation will be held at the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 11:00-2:00 P.M. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Randy Weeks officiating, burial will follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery.
