Daniel Edward Hardesty

Mr. Daniel Edward Hardesty, age 74, of Rhodelia, KY, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Norton Clark Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN. Daniel was born on October 10, 1951, the son of William Nicholas and Irma Rose (Knott) Hardesty.

Daniel was an avid outdoorsman, who liked to fish and hunt. After retirement he spent his days farming his land.  He also enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcat football and basketball games and spending time with his family.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Anna Jane Williams; and two nephews, Jonathon and Chucky Williams. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Haynes Hardesty; two sons, William D. (Leslie) Hardesty and Kody L. (Meredith) Hardesty; three grandchildren, Hudson, Ryder and Beau Hardesty; and four siblings, Lee (Peggy) Hardesty, Carolyn (Robert) Flatt, Kenny Hardesty and Lamar (Sue) Hardesty.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM, on Monday, January 12, 2026, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church.
