Cleo Lawrence "Larry" Hart, Jr.

Mr. Cleo Lawrence “Larry” Hart, Jr., age 64, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.  Mr. Hart was born on January 13, 1961, the son of Cleo Lawrence, Sr. and Carlin Ann (Rothrock) Hart.

Larry was a man of many interests.  He was a Ford guy first and foremost.  He loved watching sports, especially NASCAR and his favorite driver, Mark Martin.  He was also a diehard Miami Dolphin and Louisville Cardinal fan.  Larry also liked the outdoors and really enjoyed watching and feeding the birds.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Billy Garrett; and his nephew, Jerry Smiddy.  He is survived by three daughters, Heather, Brittany, and Karlyn Hart; two step children, Jennifer and Karl Maifeld; six grandchildren, Dax, Everhett, and Fallyn Bledsoe, Brooklyn Biles, Breeze Smiddy, and Austin Michael Brown; four brothers, Mike, Craig, Ronnie, and James Hart; his sister, Lorie Rigdell; two nieces, Tammy Smiddy and Lisa Daley; his nephew, William Blanton; and nine great nieces and nephews, Alma Embrey, Jake Smiddy, Riley, Jaden, and Justin Daley, Haley, Zach and William Blanton, Jr., and Lexi (Kameron) Adams.

In honoring Larry’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation.  A celebration of Larry’s life will be held at a later date.  Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
