Betty Lou Gunning, 91, of Vine Grove, KY passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, April 4, 2024.

Ms. Gunning was a member of Stovall United Methodist Church, Radcliff, KY. Betty’s work ethic and intelligence were evident during her tenure as a secretary for twelve major generals at Fort Knox, KY. Betty was also a member of Vine Grove Women’s Club.




She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Henry & Nannie Lee Gunning.

Ms. Gunning is survived by her sister, Penny Smith & her husband, Donovan; one niece, Cindy Rinck & her husband, Lance, one nephew, Craig Smith; five great-nieces and nephews, Eliza, Jonah, Gabriel, Gideon, and Jessie Grace.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Ms. Gunning will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow at the Vine Grove Cemetery.
