Barbara Jean "Tonkie" (Nall) Staples

Mrs. Barbara Jean “Tonkie” Staples, of Payneville, KY, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at her daughter’s residence.  Tonkie was born on December 26, 1942, the daughter of Joseph Carl and Alma Pearl Chapman Nall.

     Tonkie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; and her son, Ralphie.  She is survived by two children, Jamie Staples and his wife, Darlene, and Brenda Jo Crosby; three grandchildren, Brandon Tyler Vowels, and Justin Cory and Cody Eugene Staples; five great grandchildren, Eli, Peyton, Silas, Brandon Tyler, Jr., and Nova Frances Vowels; and her sister, Brenda Kaye Heslep.

      Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Rock Haven Baptist Church, with Rev. William “Happy” Chandler officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Martin Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, and at the church from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
