Alvin “AL” Heck, age 94 of Webster, KY, passed away at home on Monday, February 9, 2026, with his family close by.
He was born on March 11, 1931 in Shively, KY son of the late, Matilda Estella Keck Heck and William Richard Heck. Along with his parents, Al was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelly Heck Cashman; 7 sisters; and 4 brothers.
Al was a 1951 graduate of Valley High School. After graduating he joined the U.S. Army where he served in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a faithful member of the Holy Guardian Angel Church in Irvington, KY; retired from G.E.; and was a lifelong Notre Dame Fan. Al was proud of his farms and loved working them. He and his family worked together, and he loved that time spent with them. Al was especially proud of his family and was blessed with a good life. He and his wife wintered in Alamo, TX for 28 years, but called Webster home.
He is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Loretta Heck; children, Michele (Joe) Carte of Richmond, TX, Michael Heck of Webster, Mark Heck of Webster, and Gregory (Barbara) Heck of Webster; grandchildren, Jennifer, Chris, Lesley, Sarah, and Brandi; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Avery, Lydia, Emma, Henry, Sam, and Katelyn; and great-great grandchildren, Kylie and Hannah.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 5-8:00 P.M. EST at the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington, KY, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. EST.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Holy Guardian Angel Church (301 W. High St, Irvington, KY 40146) at 11:00 A.M. EST, with Burial to follow in Cap Anderson Cemetery, Brandenburg, KY.
