11th District Basketball Tournaments Kick Off This Week

The 11th District Kentucky High School basketball tournaments will take place this week, with the Meade County girls playing their first game on Monday and the boys playing their first game on Tuesday.


The Meade County Lady Wave basketball team will take on Hancock County Monday evening, February 23rd at 8:00pm Eastern, with the winner of that game advancing to take on the winner of the Breckinridge County and Cloverport game in the 11th District Championship game Thursday evening, February 26th at 7:00pm Eastern.


The Meade County Green Wave basketball team will take on Cloverport on Tuesday evening, February 24th at 6:30pm Eastern with the winner of that game advancing to take on the winner of the Breckinridge County and Hancock County game in the 11th District Championship game on Friday February 27th at 7:00pm Eastern.


All games in this year's 11th District Tournament will be held at Breckinridge County High School's Tiger Arena. According to Breck County Athletics' Facebook page, parking will be behind the school, there will be no parking alongside the gym or in front of the school, and all entries will be through the back bus ramp doors. Admission is $10 (ages 8 and under are free). Coaches Cards and Administrator Cards will be accepted but no other passes will be accepted.


For those who can't make it out to cheer on the Meade County Greenwave and Lady Wave teams in person, all Meade County games will be broadcast with Cletis Evans on your Greenwave Sports Connection, 93.5 WMMG!
