Mrs. Tambra Lynn “Tammie” Smith, age 56, of Little Bend, KY, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, at the University of Louisville Hospital, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  Tammie was born on March 22, 1969, the daughter of Preston Earl and Judy Marie (Hayes) Parr.

Tammie worked for the Meade County Board of Education as the cafeteria manager for David T. Wilson Elementary School.  She loved people and she had a heart for caring for everyone.  It just came naturally to her.  She was a longtime firefighter for Wolf Creek Fire Department.  Tammie loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, but mostly loved holding on to her husband while riding their motorcycle.

Tammie was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Anna Lillian Parr; and her brother-in-law, David Clark.  She is survived by her loving husband, Teddy Smith; two children, Leighann Nicole Smith and Eric Mann; five grandchildren, Brayden Smith, Ellea Smith, Bryce Crean, Lydia Smith, and Evelyn Crean; three sisters, Connie Clark, Pam (Timmy) Rodgers, and Beverly Parr; her brother, Troy “Bub” (Tammy) Parr; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Revs. Tom Bridge and Terry Mullins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery in Little Bend, KY.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Friday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation for Brain and Spinal Cord Injury; the American Motorcyclist Association; or to the National Motorcycle Safety Fund.  Online condolences may be left at www.hagerfuneralhome.com.
