Sally Marie Clair

 “Sally” Marie Clair, age 59, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. She was born in Takoma Park, MD, to the late David Lee Clair and Barbara Allison Futrell.

   Along with her father, Sally was preceded in death by her beloved brother-in-law, Scott Saunders. 

   Sally had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and her compassion for them was evident throughout her life. She also found great joy in the kitchen, where she lovingly prepared family holiday dinners and welcomed others into her home. Sally treasured the fellowship that came with hosting and took pride in creating a space where family and friends could gather, laugh, and feel at home.

   She retired from Republic Bank in Louisville, KY, after more than 15 years of dedicated service. Sally was known for her strong work ethic, dependability, and the relationships she built with coworkers and customers alike.

   Sally is survived by her loving mother, Allison Clair; her sister, Debbie Saunders; and her brother, Frank Clair, all of Brandenburg, KY. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved her.

   Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg, KY, with funeral services to follow at 2:00. Sally will be laid to rest in Cap Anderson Cemetery beside her father.

   Expressions of sympathy may be made to Pet’s In Need Society in her honor, reflecting Sally’s lifelong love and compassion for animals.
