Mrs. Megan Noel Hobbs, age 37, of Flaherty, KY, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, in Glasgow. Megan was born on December 11, 1987, in Elizabethtown.
Megan was a 2006 graduate of Meade County High School. She went on to complete her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Western Kentucky University, and then earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education, and her Rank 1 in Administration from Campbellsville University. Megan impacted the lives of so many students through her ability as a teacher. She began her career at Woodland Elementary School and then served the students of East Hardin Middle School the past five years as the coordinator of the gifted and talented program. Megan also coached Lego Robotics, Quick Recall and Cheerleading at the Middle School Level. She was a problem solver and also mentored fellow teachers as they began their careers. Summer was Megan’s favorite season and she loved the beach. Her greatest accomplishment in life however, was her children. Megan loved her kids deeply and completely and motherhood was her greatest gift.
Megan was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Hobbs; and her grandparents, John Leo Lancaster, Herbie and Bonnie Wardrip, and Eddie Lawrence Greenwell. She is survived by her children, Thomas “Lane”, Turner “Quade”, and Cambree AnnRose “Sissy” Hobbs; her mom, Jvanna J. Redmon; her fathers, Toby (Royetta) Wardrip, and Mark (Trish) Greenwell; her siblings, Zachary (Kristin) Greenwell, and their children, Quentin, Franklyn and Baby Boy, and Raymie Greenwell, and her children, Zaxlie, Cedar, and Atticus; her grandmothers, Elaine “Lanie” Bruner, Carolyn Redmon, Mary Greenwell, and Virginia Livers; her aunt, Gwen Mills; her uncle, Jason Lancaster; her special friends, Cindy Miller, Desire’e Denham, and Lee Ann Yonker; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at St. Mary Magdalen of Pazzi Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Hager Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to her children’s savings fund at Wilson & Muir Bank in Vine Grove, KY.
