Mayor Amanda Melanie Adams, age 47, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at UofL Hospital in Louisville, KY. Amanda was born on August 18, 1977, the daughter of Fred Lee and Joan Lee (Goodwin) Adams, who both preceded her in death. She was currently serving as the Mayor of Ekron, a position she thoroughly enjoyed for the past two years. Above all, Amanda was a dedicated mother. Her passion in life was caring for children and she cherished the time she spent with family.

Amanda is survived by six children, Cailyn Kessinger, Jacob Kessinger, Rylee Davis, Madilyn Davis, Madison Davis and Kelsey Davis; five grandchildren; three siblings, Fred (Cindy) Adams, Jay (Patty) Adams and Lance (Angela) Adams; and her step-mother, Sandy Adams.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM, on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations directly to Amanda’s daughter, Cailyn, via her cash app at $cailynkessinger, or via Go Fund Me that has been started by Kimberly Willis, to help with funeral expenses.
