Lady Waves roll to championship game, claim the 2025 11th District Volleyball Runner-Up trophy

The Meade County Lady Waves volleyball started the 11th District Tournament on Monday, Oct. 20 with an opening round win against Hancock County in three straight sets. They returned to the court on Tuesday for the District Championship against host and rival Breckinridge County Lady Tigers. The two teams traded punches in the first four sets, leaving the two teams deadlocked 2 to 2. The Lady Tigers came out on top 15-7 in the decisive fifth set to win the championship. The Lady Waves finished as 11th District Tournament Runner-Ups. Allie Glover (#23), Emily Jewell (#3), and Izzy Woosley (#22) were named to the District 11 All-Tournament Team.
