Kreszenzia Smith

Mrs. Kreszenzia Smith, age 92, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on May 5, 2025. She was born in Martinszell, Germany, on July 15, 1932, the daughter of Alfons and Theresia Feneberg Hausler.

Mrs. Smith had a tremendous work ethic.  She worked as a mess hall attendant at Ft. Knox, retiring at the tender age of 89.  She also loved to be outside working in and beautifying her yard.

Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Arland Lee Smith; her twin sister, Theresia Weinzierl; her brother, Alfons Hauslar; and her sister, Josefa Bock.  She is survived by three children, Ruth Ann (Stuart) Babbit, Marshall (Theresa) Smith, and Paula (Greg) Smith; seven grandchildren; three step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren; and two step great-great grandchildren; her sister, Anna Maria Hausler; her nephew, Herbert (Elisabeth) Hausler; and several nieces in Germany.

In honoring Mrs. Smith’s wishes, her family has chosen cremation.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
