According to the Grayson County Sherriff's Office (GCSO), the US Marshal's Office requested the assistance of the GCSO in apprehending a fugitive from the state of Louisiana believed to be residing in Leitchfield in Grayson County.
The GCSO and Leitchfield Police Department assisted the US Marshals, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and other federal task force agencies in locating Jaun Chavez-Trevizo, 45, at a residence in Leitchfield. The Mexican national was not only wanted for being in the country illegally, but also for three counts of 2nd degree rape, four counts of molestation of a child under the age of 13, and one count of indecent behavior with a child victim under the age of 13. Chavez-Trevizo was arrested and lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center while awaiting extradition. Two other individuals were also arrested at the same residence.

"On behalf of the Sherriff's Office and the citizens of Grayson County, we are grateful for our federal partners for removing this individual from our streets and stopping him from potentially perpetrating on other child victims," Grayson Co. Sheriff Norman Chaffins stated. "Our partnership with the Us Marshal's Office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and other federal agencies will continue to strengthen as we focus on removing other criminal illegals, drugs and local criminals from Grayson County's streets."
