Harry James Young

Mr. Harry James Young, age 72, of Radcliff, KY, passed away on Saturday, August 17, at his residence.   Harry was born May 22, 1952, the son of Jesse James and Joybelle (Haynes) Young.  Harry loved sports and was a very talented athlete.  He loved playing basketball, baseball, and softball.  Harry also was a very proud and avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Lakeicha Murray; and three brothers, Mike, Mark, and Paul Young.  He is survived by his fiancé, Mattie Gathers; four children, Ishea Deaver, James Eric Young, Diana Newby, and Jazmin Miller; his brother, Bryant (Elsie) Moorman; and five sisters, Sherry Ditto, Marcella (David) Duncan, Anita Duncan, Donna Moorman, and Cassandra Crouch.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Young officiating.  Cremation will follow the service.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of service on Thursday.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the funeral home to aid the family with expenses.
