rs. Gwen Harris, age 65, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY. Gwen was born on July 26, 1959, the daughter of Charles Howard and Rose Lee (Stinebruner) Smith.

Gwen was a longtime bus driver for Meade County Schools.  She was very involved in helping special need children, being active with Special Olympics and at one time working for MARC in Brandenburg.  Gwen loved all of her family but she was especially proud of being a loving wife and devoted mother.

Gwen was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Callie Stith; and her aunt, Emma Wilkins. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Harris; her daughter, Noel Harris; her father-in-law, Bruce Stith; her brother, Kelly (Michelle) Smith; her brother-in-law, Chris (Geraldine) Stith; and her sister-in-law, Jean Hedges.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the chapel of Hager Funeral Home with Rev. Tom Bridge officiating. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Meade County Special Olympics.
