Geraldine Lolita (Cope) Deshon

Ms. Geraldine Lolita Deshon, age 77, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY. Geraldine was born on February 26, 1948, the daughter of Ervin Earl and Mary Joyce (Gooldy) Cope. She was very active, holding numerous job titles throughout her life ultimately achieving her degree in divinity and becoming a minister.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents and her significant other, Alice Oller. She is survived by her two children, Sandra Collins and James Deshon; her granddaughter, Brandi Collins; her great granddaughter, Juniper B. Case; four sisters, Linda Ford, Peggy Deager, Kathy Flora and Brenda Keith; and her brother, Rusty Cope.

In honoring Geraldine’s wishes, the family has chosen cremation with a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Hager Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the funeral home to aid the family with funeral expenses.
