Edna Rose (Dore) Thomas

 Mrs. Edna Rose Thomas, age 87, of Ekron, KY, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Thomas was born on November 27, 1937, in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, the daughter of Walter Dore and Rose Stanley Dore Eldridge.  She was a longtime member of Ekron Baptist Church.

     Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin; two children, Robert “Bobby” Thomas, and Rebecca Rose “Becky” Thomas; her daughter-in-law, Charlotte Nichols; two grandchildren, Chanel Thomas Lewis, and Jessica Thomas Reed; her great grandchild, Jayden Naputi; her lifelong friend, Natalie Alice Vittum Hall; and six brothers and sisters, Addy Whiting, Jessie, Lewis (Evelyn), Lyford, Ernest, and George (Linda) Dore.  She is survived by four children, Doug Nichols, Danny (Caryn) Thomas, Ricky Thomas, and Lori (Tiq) Dawson; her

brother, Bruce Eldridge; 17 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

     Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at the chapel of the Hager Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Curry officiating.  Burial will follow in Ekron Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Wednesday.
