Armed gas station robbery suspects end up being juveniles with BB gun

According to the Meade County Sheriff's Department, on February 10, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Meade County 911 received a call of an armed robbery at the Shreeji Mart on Flaherty Rd at the intersection of Hargan Rd and Fort Ave. The caller advised two individuals in masks and armed with a handgun had flashed the weapon at the clerk and stole items from the store. Deputies and Detectives responded to the area where they apprehended two male juveniles matching the description of the assailants at approximately 8:50 p.m. on Carter Dr. in Vine Grove. Both suspects were taken into custody and were found in possession of a BB gun, which resembled a real firearm. The stolen merchandise was recovered in the possession of the suspects. The juvenile suspects were taken into custody and charged with Robbery in the 1st Degree. The juveniles were met by the court-designated worker after being charged and lodged in the juvenile detention facility in Warren County Juvenile Justice Center pending court.
