Ray Carwile, age 66, of Irvington, KY, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on October 5, 1959, in Hardinsburg, KY, son of the late Charlie Cleveland Carwile and Jo Ellen Davidson. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two half-brothers, Gene Carwile and Chuck Carwile; and two half-sisters, Mable Goins and Mary Blanch.

Ray was a member of the Constantine Community House of Prayer. He enjoyed creating things and building, which was evident through his work at Carter Sawmill and Barks & Ferree Construction. He was always working or on the move; not even an injury could hold him back. Ray enjoyed hunting whatever was in season, except for his squirrels, and he was also an avid fisherman. He was talented in many ways, and he even wrote and sang his own gospel music. He was a devoted father, brother, and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Cheyenne Nicole Carwile and Christopher Lee Carwile; a special daughter, Cassie Emmerson; sister, Jo Ann (Paul) Pendleton; brother, Ralph Cleveland (Peggy) Carwile; and his best friend, Rocky.

Following Ray’s wishes, cremation has been chosen by the family and Alexander Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Wounded Warrior Project (P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516)
