Glen Edward Morris, Sr.

Glen Edward Morris, Senior, of Bowling Green, Kentucky left this earth to join our Lord in Heaven on December 14, 2023. He was born on October 6, 1943 in Meade County, Kentucky to Hubert and Lucille Williams Morris. He was a graduate of Meade County High School and Western Kentucky University. Glen proudly served his country in Vietnam as an artillery specialist with the Kentucky Army National Guard. He was a certified public accountant for more that 40 years in private practice and helped clients in Brandenburg, Hardinsburg, Irvington, Louisville, and the surrounding areas. Glen was also a deacon for over 20 years, serving at Raymond Baptist Church and Buck Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the American Legion, the Kentucky Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Glen enjoyed working outdoors, fellowship with family and friends, and collecting seashells on the beach.


Glen is survived by his wife, Ada Claycomb Morris, his sister Beverly Anderson of Louisville, Kentucky, and his brother Randall Morris (LaSheila) of Buck Grove, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his brother Stewart Morris of Mauckport, Indiana. He is also survived by his son Glen Edward Morris, Junior, and his wife Stephanie of Henderson, Kentucky and their daughters Maggie Morris and Katie King (Stanley), by his daughter Melissa Bryant and her husband David of Tell City, Indiana and their son Beau Bryant, and by his former business partner Karen Cook (Kyle) of Brandenburg, Kentucky who was like a second daughter to him.


Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m until 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023 with funeral service conducted at 2:00 p.m. at the J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Burial will follow in Bowling Green Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
