ary Wayne King, Sr., age 72 of Harned, KY passed away January 31, 2024 at his residence. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on October 24, 1951. Gary was retired from Willoughby Contracting. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting and participating in demolition derbies.
He was preceded in death by his parents Willard King and Zella Stinnett, brother Bruce King and sister Julie Meador.
He is survived by his wife Kathy King of Harned, KY
3 children: Gary Wayne "Buddy" King, Jr. of Edmonton, KY; Jeannie "Sissy" Timberlake of Harned, KY and Adam King (Tori) of McQuady, KY
5 grandchildren: Brittany Timberlake (Almar), Kathrine Timberlake (Trenton), Jonathan Timberlake, Emileigh Compton (Thomas) and Mikaela Carman
2 great grandchildren: Julian Campbell and Garrison Compton
1 sister: Pam Board (Danny) of Hardinsburg, KY
several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2:30 PM with burial in the Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 4-7 PM and Sunday after 10 AM. All times are central.
